The 2013 vintage is a reminder that the Okanagan is one of the world’s northernmost serious wine regions. Vintage 2013 was a season of change – early to start, late to finish, and with exceptional flavour potential. A warmer than normal spring brought early budbreak followed by an extremely rainy June that slowed vine growth. Balance was restored with above average temperatures in July and August allowing grapes to mature along a normal ripening curve. The warmest vintage since 2003 cooled off just in time for harvest.See detailed press review

About this winery
When I founded the winery in 1981, I recognized that this region was a force to be reckoned with. The beauty was overwhelming and the diversity of microclimates spectacular.
Over time, it was obvious to us that to ensure absolute quality, we had to plant and farm our own land, according to our own specifications. Today, Mission Hill has estate vineyards in each of the Okanagan Valley's five growing regions.
Personally, one of the most satisfying things for me is to walk with my wife and son in the vineyards, row-by-row, watching the vines develop, inspecting the fruit, tasting the grapes, and knowing with full confidence the quality of the wine that will result.
